Northrim Bank is proud to announce the promotion of four officers and welcomes two new employees. Northrim Chairman and CEO Joe Schierhorn is pleased to announce the following updates:

- Johnico Bashford-Blumer - AVP, Branch Manager Lake Otis Community Branch
- Samantha Schemm - AVP, Deposit Applications Manager
- Jodie Stone - AVP, Card Services Manager
- Cindy Cheely - Assistant Branch Manager Southside Financial Center
Gentry rejoined Northrim in September and has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry in Alaska and Washington. A longtime Alaskan, he grew up in Utqiagvik and attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Gentry volunteers his spare time within the youth athletic community.
Schulman started at Northrim Bank in 2010 and has 22 years of banking experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Corban University. He is a past president of the Anchorage International Rotary Club, a loan committee member with Cook Inlet Lending Center, volunteers with Birchwood Behavioral Health and his church. Schulman received the Northrim President’s Award in 2021.
Bashford-Blumer has been with Northrim for just over two years and has more than 13 years of management experience. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. Bashford-Blumer volunteers with Junior Achievement and his kids’ sports organizations.
Schemm joined Northrim in September and brings over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, to include retail banking, back office operations and IT. She is passionate about rescuing animals and volunteers with the Humane Society and other various local rescues in her community.
Stone started at Northrim two years ago and has 24 years of banking and leadership experience, working in retail banking and back office branch support. She has participated in the annual Heart Walk and Relay for Life events.
Cheely has been with Northrim Bank for a total of 13 years and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has worked in a variety of departments at Northrim including Financials Sales, Lending and Retail Banking. Cheely has her Alaska Life Insurance License and received Northrim’s Customer First Service Award in 2001. She volunteers at McKinnell House, Seeds of Change and Friends of Alaska’s Children in Care.
