Northrim Bank is pleased to announce the opening of its newest branch, the Fairbanks West Community Branch, located at 3637 Airport Way, Suite 110.
“We are pleased to be opening a second location in Fairbanks. We have a strong customer base throughout Interior Alaska and look forward to having a new option for customers to bank with us,” said Joe Schierhorn, Northrim Bank Chairman, President and CEO. “This was the right opportunity to expand in the Fairbanks community and a good complement to our Fairbanks Financial Center”
This new location is the fourth branch to use Northrim’s “branch of the future,” blueprint where the focus of the branch is on customer interaction within a more efficient footprint. The streamlined design continues the Bank’s goal of personalized service, as part of its vision to be Alaska’s premier bank of choice. Each branch’s design incorporates natural beauty of the area. The Fairbanks West Community Branch features the Northern Lights and the night sky that the Interior is known for. Art throughout the branch is from local, Alaskan photographer Debbie Shiffer and highlights the uniqueness of our state.
The Fairbanks West Community Branch brings Northrim Bank to 17 branches throughout Alaska and expands its reach in Fairbanks into a new neighborhood.
“We are excited to welcome customers to our new Fairbanks West Community Branch,” said Schierhorn. “Having a location in this area of town allows us to meet the diverse needs of the neighborhood and our customers. We look forward to engaging with the community and meeting our new neighbors.”
The branch opened today, Feb. 8 for regular business hours, Monday through Friday 10 am-6 pm. Due to COVID-19 precautions, a virtual grand opening event will be hosted by the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce. A video of virtual event will be posted online the afternoon of Feb. 9.
