Northrim Bank announces the opening of its full service Nome Financial Center, located at the Nome Courthouse Building, 306 W. 5th Avenue. The Bank has been operating on Front Street since December after receiving special permission to open a temporary location to meet the needs of the Nome community in the aftermath of the storms that devastated the region last fall and is now excited to move into its larger, longtime home.
“We are pleased to be able to open our Financial Center after being in a temporary branch for the past six months. We are proud to continue our service to Northwest Alaska and look forward to welcoming new customers and the community to our new financial center,” said Mike Huston, Northrim Bank President.
The branch opened today, July 17 for regular business hours. There will be a ribbon cutting, community donation presentation and open house from 12pm - 3pm this afternoon. The donation will be presented to the Nome Community Center for their HomePlate program. The program provides permanent supportive housing in Nome.
Branch Manager Drew McCann and the team are knowledgeable local experts and are available at the branch Monday through Friday 10am - 5pm to assist the community and provide banking services to Nome and the surrounding areas.
